More than 30 percent of Serbia's GDP generated by SAP users - Software company to sign one of the biggest contracts in our country

- Last year was the best year in the history of SAP West Balkans, as well as in the history of SAP in general. The corporation reported a 25 percent growth in software sales, while the number of companies that use our solutions reached 190,000 - Vojislav Genic, director general of the company SAB in Serbia, said at the opening ceremony of the annual conference SAP Forum 2012, which was held at Terazije Theater in Belgrade.

- Over 120 organizations in Serbia use SAP solutions, while more than 30 percent of Serbia's gross domestic product (GDP) are generated by SAP users. We are especially proud of the fact that over 11,000 jobs in Serbia are connected to the use of SAP in operations - Genic added.

He also announced that the company would sign a very large contract that day, after which the share of Serbia's GDP generated by SAP users would grow to as much as 40 percent.

The conference organized by the company SAP, a market leader in the field of business application software, gathered numerous SAP users, partners and eminent IT and economic experts.

The Forum saw the presentation of new solutions on SAP HANA in-memory platform, which allow users a more efficient access to information and 10,000 times faster delivery of data. The event was also an occasion to discuss SAP's strategy focusing on five market categories - applications, analytics, databases and technology, mobility and increasingly popular cloud computing.

Case studies by companies that implemented SAP solutions also drew a lot of attention. Komercijalna Banka introduced SAP ERP solutions, thus ensuring a complete integration of systems for inventory, material and financial accounting, logistics and HR management. In that way, the bank achieved a full data integration and business process standardization, which led to higher efficiency and cost rationalization.

Rudnap Group had a similar experience. The implementation of SAP ERP solutions allowed that group a better optimization and standardization of business processes, greater control as well as higher level of integration of companies within the group, which created conditions for the performance management in all companies and a significantly higher level of control of operations.

He also announced that SAP would launch a partner program with the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad during the next week, expressing a hope that a similar cooperation will be established with some of the Belgrade faculties in the future.
