The domestic trade company Aman announced Thursday that it had rented SOS markets from the trade company Jabuka, adding that the first five of them would be opened Saturday, June 30th.

Aman's PR Manager Goran Trajkovic said at a press conference that that company planned to keep all 250 workers of SOS markets, noting that all 33 stores would be opened by August 15th.

Trajkovic stated that Aman was a domestic family trade company with domestic capital, although the owner was Nedal Kalil from Jordan.

- The plan is to expand the assortment of products and offer articles at even lower prices - Trajkovic said and added that the name of SOS markets would not be changed.

Aman, which exists for 20 years, has 70 stores in Belgrade, ranging in size from 100 to 1,500 square meters and offering between 5,000 and 6,000 products each, 70 percent of which are domestic products. This company employs about 1,000 workers.

As Trajkovic announced, the plan is to soon open another 10 stores, create 200 new jobs and expand the operations outside Belgrade.

The first SOS market was opened in Belgrade on 25 March 2009, offering articles at 15 to 70 percent lower prices.
