Sleeping on mountain edge
The tube-shaped hostel, which can accommodate up to 12 climbers, is located in the Mont Blanc mountain range, in Italy.
And as well as bunk beds, a kitchen, and a living room, the hotel also boasts incredible views over the Fribouze Glacier.
The £200,000 solar-powered refuge is designed to save the lives of stranded climbers who are caught in blizzards and replaces a shabby wooden hut that was built in 1948.
It opened this year after a build process which saw helicopters making several flights from the nearest village in Courmayeur, Val Ferret, to airlift different parts of the hostel into place.
The hostel - commissioned by the Italian Alpine Club - sits close to the border for climbers who are crossing a popular route between the French side of the Alps and the Italian.
Reservations have to be made online and it is expected it will cost just £23 a night to stay there.
