How much potential buyers of "Mobi 63" offered to be known tomorrow
Obligatory bids for sale of assets of Serbian-Austrian joint venture "Mobi 63" and the second license for mobile telephony in Serbia will be opened tomorrow (July 26, 2006) in the premises of the Privatization Agency, whereas the public auction for sale of that company, the starting price of which is 800m EUR, will be held on July 31.
According to the plan, the public auction for "Mobi 63" will be held in front of the TV cameras, in the direct broadcast, and it is for sure that the highest price in the history of privatization in Serbia will be reached on that day, because every lifting of the arm of the participants in the auction will mean 20m EUR higher price above starting 800m EUR.
So far, the highest price in the privatization in Serbia was realized in the sale of public assets in "Tobacco industry Niš", when "Philip Morris" paid about 518m EUR for that factory.
According to the announcement of the Minister of Economy of Serbia, Predrag Bubalo, three best offers for "Mobi 63" will enter the second round and their representatives will have the chance to raise the price in front of the TV cameras.
At the moment, the following eight companies are in the competition for procurement of the aforementioned company: "Telenor ASA" from Norway, "Tele 2 AB" from Sweden, "France Telekom" from France, "Oraskom Telekom Holding" from Egypt, "Deutsche Telekom" from Germany, "Etisalat" from United Arabian Emirates, "Telia Sonera" from Sweden and "Mobilkom Austria AG" from Austria.
