Dragoljub Simonovic to become new director of Serbian Railways?
(Dragoljub Simonovic)
After appointing its members Milos Tomic (Transnafta) and Nikola Petrovic (Elektromreza) and independent expert Predrag Culibrk (Telekom), the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will soon nominate another person for an important position.
A former member of SNS and the mayor of Grocka since recently, Dragoljub Simonovic, should soon replace Milovan Markovic in the position of the CEO of Serbian Railways. Markovic was appointed as the director of the joint-stock company Zeleznice Srbije (Serbian Railways) in July 2011, when this public railway company was transformed into a joint-stock company. The Assembly then appointed members to the Managing Board, which chose the director general and his deputies. The Assembly of this joint-stock company consists of 11 members, while its chairman is Zoran Andjelkovic.
