The IT Market in Serbia -in the Period April/ June 36.563 PCs Have Been Sold, the Purchase of "Lap top" PCs Still Records the Annual Growth of 80 %
During the second three months period in 2006 120.535 PCs have been sold in the region of Serbia, Monte Negro, Croatia and Slovenia, or 253.422 pieces for the period of 6 months, was announced by the analytic agency "IDC Adriatics" that has organized the research of the each market separately for the period of the four months of the year.
Comparing with the period April-May-June 2005, the biggest growth was marked at the PC market of Serbia and Montenegro- 7,3 %, in Croatia this growth was 4,3%, and in Slovenia the sale decline for 12% in the same period.
The most dynamic segment of the PC market in all four mentioned countries is still the market of the notrebooks.
According to the data obtained by "IDC Adriatic" in the second four months period of the 2006, 36.563 PCs have been sold in the region of Serbia and Montenegro only.
At the same market, the strong growth is recorded in the segment of the "notebook" PCs, that is marked 80% and in the segment of "x86"servers (based on Intel and AMD processors) sold with the growth of 40%.
It is very interesting to say that the desktop PCs are 72,4% of the total PC market of Serbia and Montenegro, "notebooks" 25,1%, and "x86" servers are in the amount of 2,5% of the market shares.
