Overview
The municipality of Novi Becej is located
in the central-eastern part of Vojvodina, in the region of Banat. It covers the area of 609 km², and apart from its administrative center, Novi Becej, it includes four other settlements: Bocar, Novo Milosevo, Crna Bara and Kumane.
Population
The Municipality has 26,924 inhabitants. Serbs and Hungarians are main nationalities in this multi-national community. Officially, there are 3,825 unemployed persons.
Economy
Agriculture is the main economy branch. The orchards and vineyards of “Biserno Ostrvo” (Pearl Island) is the only location where special grapevine grows from which the famous “Krokan” Muscat wine is made. The wall and floor tile industry is the main driving force of the development of the municipality. Metalwork, chemical and textile industry are also well developed.
Infrastructure
The municipality is located in the hart of Vojvodina, on the left bank of the river Tisa. It is 40 km away from the international motorway E-75. A well-developed network of principal and local roads connects it with other towns in Vojvodina. It is only 55 km away from the administrative centre, Novi Sad, and 85 km from the border crossing to Hungary.
Tourism
The municipality has a very rich history. The traces of younger Stone and Bronze Age are found on two significant archeological sites in the vicinity of Bordos and Matejski Brod. Not far away, there is a monument from the Middle Ages- a 13th century church called “Araca”.

Site description
East Industrial Zone stretches along the regional road, and 600 m off the railway line. The terrain is flat.

Lease of land for the period of 99 years is possible. The required planning and regulatory documentation already exists. The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permissions and approvals for construction on the site is 12 months.
