Production of Fiat 500L seats in Jagodina - Italy's Aunde to start factory construction in late February 2013

Representatives of the Italian company Aunde, which produces car seats, signed today an agreement with Jagodina to build a factory in that town.

Construction of that factory on a 3,500 square meter lot in the Jagodina Industrial Zone should commence in late February 2013, and it is going to employ 100 workers, it was announced today at a press conference in the building of the Town Assembly.

Aunde Serbia Director Enrico Vergnano, who is also one of the owners of this company, said that the plan was to relocate the production of seats for new Fiat 500L vehicles to Serbia.

- That is an ambitious project we have been working on over the last two years. We've won a contract to make 100 percent of seats, and we are happy that the Italian style and the Serbian production can be applied to new projects in the future - said Vergnano.

He expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the factory in Jagodina would be built in a short time, adding that the expansion of production and the employment of new workers from Jagodina were also in the pipeline.

Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic said that the state would grant EUR 6,000 to that company for each newly employed worker at that factory.

He also announced that the factory would hire another 200 workers within the next two years, so that it would employ the total of 300 people from Jagodina. Markovic noted that Aunde had chosen Jagodina and Serbia because "Serbia offers the best conditions to foreign investors and respects all international agreements it has signed."
