By the decision adopted by the city aldermen on Friday (14 December 2012), Belgrade's budget for 2013 is set at around RSD 91.3 billion, down five percent from 2012.
The volume of the funds earmarked for city boroughs stands at RSD 11.2 billion, down by half a percent from 2012, said City Secretary for Finance Renata Milic Radujko.
– Total expected budget revenues and earnings amount to RSD 82.8 billion, whereas costs and expenditures are set at RSD 86.7 billion. In that way, the budget deficit is projected at RSD 3.9 billion, down 55 percent from this year's one – said Renata Milic Radujko.
- The budget now ensures the continuity of city development because the funds earmarked for capital projects exceed RSD 30 billion. Subsidies account for 13.4 percent of the total budget. There will be no new loans and the deficit is cut by 55 percent, which should also contribute to the reduction of the state deficitso that - Renata Milic Radujko concluded.
