Within the next six months Danube Foods Group will probably sell some of its companies, among which are Imlek, Bambi Banat and Knjaz Milos. People at that group say that they have no intention to expand their operations outside the region, adding that they will most likely decide to sell some companies over the next half a year.

- Interest in the acquisition of our companies is permanent because they are all good businesses - Danube Foods Group (DFG) CEO Slobodan Petrovic told Tanjug news agency.

He added that the buyer would be one of the strategic partners that were already operating in the region, but he did not want to disclose any details regarding who could buy Imlek, Bambi or Knjaz.

- We've stayed here longer than we planned, and it is now time to finish what we've started - Petrovic said and explained that there would be no new mergers of Serbian companies to the group.

Summing up DFG's business results in 2012, he said he was satisfied although they were below the level reached in previous years. A short summary of operations in 2012 is as follows: Imlek's milk sales dropped about 1 percent, Knjaz Milos managed to report a small growth, whereas Bambi maintained the sales at the same level as in 2011.

Petrovic noted that the first part of the last year had been better, adding that a big change could have been felt in the period between September and the year's end, which is also supported by the fact that the turnover in October 2012 was 10 percent smaller than in October 2011.

- We had a problem with milk because 2012 was dry and available quantities were reduced, which also affected prices, while farmers, too, incurred additional costs - said Petrovic.

The CEO of DFG also assessed that a strong dinar was not a good "ally" in exports.
