BASF Serbia has appointed the country manager of Slovenia and Croatia, Michael Nam, as its head from January, after CEO Harald Kube's promotion to a managerial position in Turkey, BASF said on Tuesday.
Harald Kube will head BASF Turkey's crop protection division, BASF said in an emailed statement. He had been head of BASF Srbija since 2009 and a regional manager of the crop protection unit for former Yugoslavia, SeeNews reports.
As CEO of the Serbian unit of the German chemicals group, Nam will keep his responsibilities as managing director of the company’s Slovenia and Croatia units. The German national has been part of the BASF group for more than 15 years. His track record includes seven years with BASF France, where he held various positions in sales, corporate communications and market development.
- The Serbian market is in constant motion, and it is reasonable to expect further business growth in the chemical industry - Nam said in a statement, adding that BASF’s strategy would be fully implemented in the Serbian market.
BASF has been present in Serbia for over 20 years. It has a distribution network to sell BASF products in Serbia, Macedonia and the Republic of Srpska.
