New sports hall in Pirot put into operation, investment worth 1.5m EUR

President of the Parliament of Serbia, Predrag Marković, opened sports hall "Kej" yesterday (August 28, 2006) in Pirot. The construction of the hall cost 1.5m EUR.

The opening of the hall took place in the presence of all local officials and the representatives of the European Agency for Reconstruction, which, together with the local authorities, financed construction of the hall with 860 seats.

Mayor of Municipality of Pirot, Vladan Vasić, says that Pirot now has magnificient facility of 3,000 square meters with the restaurant, the hall for martial arts and outdoor courts for mini sports.

According to his words, the hall is equipped with the best equipment and sports recquisites that can be bought on the market in Serbia.

- The parquet floor in this hall can be seen only in hall "Belgrade Arena" and nowhere else in Serbia - said Vasić.
