Termovent-komerc first time on Abu Dhabi market - Over 70 percent of Belgrade-based company's projected production volume for 2013 already sold
(Milos Perovic)
Although 2012 was a tough year for industrial manufacturers, Belgrade-based Termovent-komerc, a company specialized in planning, producing and installing HVAC equipment, significantly increased both physical and financial volume of production when compared to the previous year. The company bought a production facility from Austria's Huber, along with a part of the required technologies and accompanying infrastructure, and started production at the new factory in Kladovo. This new plant will substantially enhance the quality of final products and boost the volume of production by about 50 percent. Besides, Termovent-komerc also increased its workforce and entered new markets last year.
- In late 2012 Termovent appeared for the first time in the market of the United Arab Emirates, where it commissioned a Wellpharma pharmaceutical plant that produces infusion solutions - Termovent-komerc Executive Director Milos Perovic says in a talk with eKapija.
- We have been declared as the most professional company of all companies that were working on this project. The equipment we produced was delivered and installed, but we must also mention a great support we received from companies Automatika Vrsac and Djerdap-usluge Kladovo as our selected partners.
As Perovic explains, this project made it possible for them to start talks with new companies from that area, so that serious negotiations are already underway with businesses from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Tunis, Egypt...
New contracts
Perovic notes that Termovent also registered a significant growth in the number of contracts won in the EU in 2012, primarily in Belgium, where the company worked on projects for companies Purnapharmaceutical and Delpharma, and it also signed a new contract with the world's largest pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer in late December.
(new production plant in Kladovo)
- This company operates as a large system, with one division focused on human medicine or production of medical devices for use by people and the other on Animal Health products. The first contract, which expires 2016 and secures us a constant presence in projects involving the production of devices for human use, was signed last year, whereas a contract with Pfizer's Animal Health division, which expires in 2017, was signed in late December. Under the latter contract, we have already received two orders - one worth EUR 106,000 and the other worth EUR 1.35 million.
Cooperation has also been resumed with Spain's Cotex Viscofan, which operates in Novi Sad. So far, Termovent has installed 12 new sausage casing production lines at this factory, reconstructed 12 existing lines, and commissioned another 3 new production lines in 2012. According to Perovic, there was a possibility of penetrating the Chinese market in cooperation with that company, but that idea has been given up because China is too far away.
- Aside from a great technical support we've provided to help Spanish and Chinese companies create our solution, we have also given our consent for its installation in these areas with our technical assistance, but we have given up the implementation of this project in China because it would be extremely complicated for us to do that at this moment.
Sold out
Belgrade-based Termovent-komerc is one of the most serious manufacturers of climate chambers. So far, production at this company has been growing at the rate of between 20 and 30 percent per year on average. With the opening of a new plant in Kladovo, Perovic expects the volume of production to be increased by a minimum of 50 percent.
- Considering that we have already sold over 70 percent of the projected production volume for 2013, we expect the recent capacity boost, new hirings and technological equipment to lead to a minimum 50 percent increase in the volume of production. The value of newly signed contracts for projects in the EU in 2013 amounts to about EUR 2,609,000, and we should add to this figure another EUR 542,000 worth of works contracted and unfinished in 2012 and scheduled for completion in 2013, as well as about EUR 380,000 worth of orders that we expect to receive.
This company hired more than 10 execturos in 2012 and plans to employ a minimum of 20 new workers this year.
Speaking about further plans, Perovic says he is a big optimist when it comes to new markets like Egypt, Tunis, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, adding that the company will seek related businesses in Europe and the world interested in designing a joint production and penetrating the markets of Russia and the EU together with Termovent.
The company will celebrate its 20th anniversary of operations in April 2013.
