Bacevic seeks partners for Belgrade-Salonika canal in China
(Milan Bacevic)
Serbian Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Milan Bacevic will be staying in China between January 21 and 27, where he is going to talk with prospective partners for the Belgrade-Salonika navigable canal project.
As the Ministry announced, Bacevic will have a meeting in Beijing with Chinese officials and the representatives of companies that have expressed interest in entering into a cooperation or strategic partnership for the implementation of that project.
As it was pointed out, that infrastructure project is "significant not only for Serbia and the Balkans, but also for countries beyond this area, given that it will run through Serbia and Macedonia to the Port of Salonika in Greece." That canal should connect rivers Danube, Morava and Vardar.
