Fresenius Medical Care commissions third production line in Vrsac - Jobs for 112 workers
A new production line of the Fresenius Medical Care company to manufacture components of dialysis systems was commissioned as part of the Hemofarm complex in Vrsac on Friday, Tanjug news agency has reported.
This EUR 602,000 investment will create 112 jobs in Vrsac. Taking into consideration that 95 percent of the dialysis systems will be exported, the annual value of medical equipment that will be supplied to the foreign markets is expected to be EUR 43 million.
The launch of a third Fresenius production line brought together Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, Health Minister Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, President of the Vojvodina Executive Council Bojan Pajtic and German Ambassador to Serbia Heinz Wilhelm.
This multinational corporation, Fresenius Group, currently hires 669 workers in Belgrade and Vrsac, and 100 workers in five specialized hospitals in Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad.
That company plans to open a 10,320m2 factory in the Technology Park in Vrsac in November 2014, to which it will transfer the existing production capacities and 744 workers.
The factory could hire a total of 1,150 people in the future.
Fresenius Medical Care is the world's largest producer of components needed for dialysis treatments, and through its network of 3, 135 clinics serves the needs of over 250,000 patients suffering from chronic renal insufficiency.
In 2012, Fresenius Group secured the revenues of EUR 16.5 billion thanks to the production of equipment and services, and according to the data collected in September 2012, it hires over 160,000 people worldwide.
