Swiss food giant Nestle said on Tuesday it had appointed Ansgar Bornemann, former general manager of Nestle Serbia and executive director of Nestle's ice cream division in the region, as its new regional director for the Adriatic region. He will be operating offices in Belgrade and Zagreb from the headquarters in Belgrade.
Bornemann replaces Marco Travaglia, who returned to Italy to assume the position of Country Business Manager at Nestle Purina PetCare South Europe.
- In 2013 we plan to expand our current product portfolio by launching new products that are currently being imported, and in addition to that, we have developed a clear strategy for the export of products from [the plant in Serbia's] Surcin to the European Union - Bornemann, who joined Nestle in 2003, said in a company statement.
Nestle Adriatic is in charge of Nestle's operations in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo.
