eKapija`s investment team has recently done an analysis and formed a rank list of investments and investment ideas that attracted the greatest attention of eKapija users in 2011. The results are very interesting, some are expected, but there is a plenty of surprises, which is why we`ve decided to share this information with you.

We present you the most interesting projects in the field of SPORTS.

The most important secondary thing in the world tops the list for the third year in a row. This time, Marakana took the "trophy" from Vozdovac's shopping center-stadium, which had to settle for a silver medal in 2012. However, in spite of that, the title of the Revelation of the Year goes to neither of them, but straight to Valjevo, which managed to secure three places among the top ten sports stories in the last year, so that this city deserves all the praise.

Zvezda fans can't wait to get new stadium stands. Football lovers wondered how the famous Marakana stadium was going to look like once built by Nantong Construction Engineering Contracting Co. Ltd,, which is why the story of this Belgrade-based stadium ranks first by far. Ever since a memorandum was signed with the Chinese company in April, there has been no updates, but word in the capital city has it that the popular Al Dahra from the United Arab Emirates recently got seriously interested in the red-and-white team.

(Will Marakana look like this?)

Stadion Shopping Center in Vozdovac ranks second on the list. A football pitch in line with UEFA standards will be situated on the third floor of the facility, and its stands will be big enough to hold about 5,000 spectators. This floor will also feature an 800 square meter wellness center as well as a restaurant. And while the men from Belgrade cheer their favorite teams, their fairer halves will enjoy shopping, and it is already well known that this Vozdovac-based shopping center is going to house the stores of Lilly, Svilanit, Zlatarna Celje, Takko Fashion, Intersport, La Borsa, Urban Jungle, DexyCo, and many others. The opening of this complex is scheduled for March 2013.

Valjevo's Omni-centar, opened last year, won a bronze medal. Within that complex, professional and recreational athletes have at their disposal two halls, trim trail, gym, tennis court and the only bowling alley in the city on the Kolubara River. Aside from foosball and pool tables for fun lovers, there is also a spacious ceremonial hall for various celebrations or business events.

The fourth-ranked sports story is the one about a multifunctional complex in Nova Varos. A four-star hotel, sports arena, Olympic swimming pool, wellness center and a skating rink got our readers very interested, but as things stand now, the project has failed to attract the attention of prospective investors. This tourist and sports center still awaits investors.

In the photofinish of the year, the Valjevo Arena sprinted to fifth place. Works commenced December, and the arena (which is not going to be oval shaped as it was initially planned) will span 13,000 square meters and feature 5,000 seats. We can expect first games on the new parquet floor to be played in 2015.

The ambitious Canaries from Novi Sad presented a new stadium project last year, featuring two inflatable courts for handball, futsal, basketball, volleyball and other sports, gym and outdoor fields, for which, as they say, the problem is not money but - land. So people at Novi Sad Football Club are now waiting for help from the city authorities and believe that they could soon also get a club hotel, clinic, club garages, business tower, swimming pool...

Beautiful dreams are also dreamt by people in Surcin, whose story ranks seventh on our list. They, on the other hand, have a land, but they seek investors. According to preliminary designs prepared by Milinkovic Company, a magnificent tennis complex featuring 38 outdoor, eight indoor courts and a central court could be built on about ten hectares of land owned by Business Plus. The ball is still in the air, and Novak (who was mentioned as a prospective investor) still says nothing about that project.

After twenty year, citizens of Belgrade can again bathe in an indoor swimming pool of the sports and recreational center 11. april. A monthly ticket for recreational swimming for children, pupils, students and pensioners costs RSD 3,000, whereas the price for all others is RSD 4,500. A daily ticket costs RSD 300. Completion of the reconstruction of the New Belgrade swimming pool ranks eighth on this list.

Among the most popular stories is also the one about a project in Leskovac. The ninth-ranked investment is a new hotel at Pasina Cesma (Pasha's Fountain), which welcomed the first guests with arms wide open. In its vicinity is a construction site where outdoor and indoor swimming pools, sports arena and a restaurant above the recently built stands for a new football stadium are being built at full speed. The complex also features bicycle and trim trails.

The last on this Top Ten list is the third story from Valjevo. Ingrap Omni has completed the construction of a small sports arena, which should become a basketball academy in the future and bear the name of our celebrated basketball player Milos Teodosic.
