Ecological management of animal waste - Energozelena finishes factory in Indjija
All works on the construction of a factory for ecological management of animal waste, Energozelena, in the northeast industrial zone in Indjija are completed. Belgium's Electrawinds invested the total of EUR 21 million in this contemporary pound. The factory is situated in the vicinity of a regional sanitary landfill and, as it was announced, it is going to employ about hundred workers, it is stated in a release published on the official website of the Indjija municipality.
The factory will be annually processing 150,000 tonnes of waste from the meat industry and dead animals, and part of this waste will be used as a renewable source of energy. This investment is also significant from the environmental aspect, given that animal waste will no longer be burnt in the open, dumped to rivers and streams or buried under the ground.
Belgium's Electrawinds, a part of which is Energozelena from Indjija, is one of the European leaders in the production of energy from renewable sources and optimal management of waste systems.
