German loan for water factory in Kikinda
- In the best-case scenario, Kikinda could get a water factory in three or four years. The coordinator of this capital project will be the public utility company (JKP) 6. oktobar - Kikinda Mayor Savo Dobranic said and reminded that Kikinda had recently been included in the list of eight local self-governments whose projects were supported by the German Development Bank (KFW) and the Ministry of Regional Development, it was announced on the official website of the municipality of Kikinda.
- The ministry believes that we could sign a funding agreement in mid-2013 for a EUR 6 million loan. After that we would focus on the preparation of a Feasibility Study, which should also be financed by KfW. If it is determined that there is a technological solution for producing safe water, an international tender will be announced, and it will help us determine how much this investment is going to cost - said Dobranic.
Director of JKP 6. oktobar Milan Karac, says that the German Development Bank offers this credit line under very favorable terms.
