Tax reliefs and grants for establishment of IT companies
Serbia's Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic said that the state intended to support the development of IT companies through a specially designed program, it was announced on the official website of the Serbian government.
Speaking at a public debate on the state program of support to the IT industry, which gathered representatives of 50 companies from that field, Dinkic explained that that program entailed tax reliefs, grants for start-ups, adaptation of the education system to the needs of the industry, and support to exporters.
He said that the final version of the document would be prepared within the next few weeks, adding that necessary changes in legislation should be adopted in March, so that the program could be put into practice and in order to facilitate doing business over the Internet.
Dinkic also announced support to exporters in the IT industry through a special insurance system so that they could sell as many products and services on the world market as possible.
