First Investment Fair in Serbia – «Invest Expo 06» - started

- Kragujevac is today the investment capital of Serbia, while nobody in Šumadija has ever seen so many investors at one place like now – the Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, said on the occasion of the opening of the First Investment Fair in Serbia - "Invest Expo 06" - this morning (September 6, 2006) in the hall of the Kragujevac hotel "Šumarice".

Speaking about the significance of this manifestation, Stevanović pointed out that "Invest Expo" was exceptional event for the entire Serbia, since the potential financiers and partners will be presented with the projects of the big number of local self-governments, regional chambers of commerce and enterprises.

The exhibitors and the visitors of the Fair were sincerely welcomed by the deputy of the Minister of International Economic Relations in the Government of Serbia, Vlatko Sekulović, who said that that Ministry had recognized the value and the significance of that manifestation from the very start, as well as its real opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the investment climate in Serbia.

In similar way, the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Kragujevac, Dušan Puača, spoke to the gathered and explained that, with the organization of the "Invest Expo" Fair, that city once again confirmed its leading position, as well as wish to develop, modernize and cooperate with everybody.

After ceremonial opening, Mayor Veroljub Stevanović, the deputy of the Minister, Vlatko Sekulović, and the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Kragujevac, Dušan Puača, accompanied with the Bishoup of Šumadija, Jovan, visited all stands in the hall of hotel "Šumarice" and familiarize themselves with the projects of the exhibitors.

Let us remind that the organizer of the "Invest Expo 06" Fair are the REgional Chamber of Commerce of Kragujevac and the City of Kragujevac, whereas the entire manifestaton is held under the patronage of the Ministry of International Economic Relations, Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency SIEPA.
