Carrefour in Serbia in 2015 - French company rents 10,000 sqm space in Delta Planet

France's Carrefour, the largest retail chain in Europe, is going to open its first store in Belgrade in Delta Planet shopping center, which will be built at Autokomanda, Delta Real Estate said in a release on Thursday.

According to the company's release, Delta Planet shopping center and a Carrefour hypermarket are due to open in 2015.

Delta Real Estate, a member of Delta Holding, pointed out in the release that it had reached an agreement with Carrefour, the largest retail chain in Europe and the second largest in the world, on the lease of a 10,000sqm space in the future shopping mall by that French company.

As it was stressed, Carrefour's store will offer customers a broad palette of products, including a rich selection of more than 3,000 brands under its own Carrefour trademark.

Vojislav Glavinic, CEO of the Delta Real Estate group, said that Delta and Carrefour had also agreed to work together in other locations as well.

- We are extremely satisfied with our cooperation with Carrefour, which will not end here - said Glavinic.

Carrefour operates 15,500 retail stores in 34 countries worldwide. With the network of 1,395 hypermarkets, this company is a global leader in that retail segment.
