Aleksandar Gatalica wins Mesa Selimovic Award

Writer Aleksandar Gatalica is the laureate of the Mesa Selimovic Award for the best book in 2012. This award has been presented by the Vecernje Novosti daily newspaper for the 25th time this year.

Aside from wining the Mesa Selimovic Award for his novel "Veliki Rat" (The Great War), Gatalica has also recently received the NIN Prize for that same novel as well as the Andric Award that is presented by the Ivo Andric Foundation.

Aleksandar Gatalica says he is very happy and proud of winning two of the three most important literary awards in Serbia.
