US General Electric interested in cooperation with Sloboda - Cacak also interesting to UAE investors

Minister of Construction and Urganism Velimir Ilic said Wednesday (13 March 2013) that there was a possibility of establishing cooperation between Cacak-based Sloboda and the US company General Electric, which had expressed interest in it.

- They have agreed to visit Sloboda and see its available facilities, so it is possible that there will be cooperation, that is, that the civilian section of the Cacak-based factory will be put into operation - Ilic told Tanjug news agency and added that it would be a big step for the economy of that city.

Speaking about other prospective investors, he noted that investors from the United Arab Emirates were particularly interested in the hippodrome site in Preljina, where one of the largest polo fields may be built.

- They have also expressed a wish to have one of the spa resorts in the Cacak municipality reconstructed, and I've suggested it should be Slatinska - said the minister.

He added that a feasibility study for the cargo center in Ladjevci had been completed.

The minister also announced that the construction of 5,000 apartments in Belgrade would be finished in late May, after which another 2,000 flats should go under construction.
