Large investment in Lenada cold storage plant in Pirot - Construction of 10,000 sqm distribution center in the pipeline
Pirot-based cold storage plant Lenada, one of the largest in Serbia, will soon get a modern fruit processing line worth EUR 1.2 million, director of that cold storage plant, Vladica Krsmanovic, told Tanjug news agency.
Last year this company exported about 1,300 tonnes of cherries and the same amount of plums to the EU and neighboring countries, while this year, due to a huge demand, they plan to double their capacity as well as exports.
The plan is also to build a large distribution center spanning 10,000 square meters in order to expand production. Since May 2012, when the Lenada company became the owner of that cold storage plant in Pirot, between 700,000 and 800,000 euros have been invested in that facility, exclusive of the latest investment.
