Serbian-Italian irrigation systems - Irriland Srb invests EUR 3 million in production in Bac
A factory for producing self-propelled automatic irrigation systems, a joint Serbian-Italian project, has been opened in Bac. The founders of a new company called Irriland Srb are Arma provodka from Bac and Irriland Italy.
- This project is valued at about EUR 3 million and involves investment in infrastructure, working capital, equipment, motor pool... – says Marko Jovesic, representative of the Serbian founder.
– About 50 people will be hired this year, and there is a tendency to increase the number of employees to 150 over the next two years. We've agreed with the Italian partner to organize the largest portion of production of all systems in the joint venture Irriland Srb.
Jovesic adds that the new company will be marketing all of its products in all countries Irriland Italy already operates in, meaning that their products will be exported to western Europe, Africa, Asia as well as Serbia, former Yugoslav republics and eastern Europe.
The plan for the first phase is to annually produce 1,200 irrigation systems, with total revenues expected to exceed EUR 20 million.
