The best equipped exhibit space in Serbia – EXPO XII International Expocenter Belgrade – put into operation

The fireworks and Belgrade's jet-set glamour enriched the official opening of the the best equipped fair-exhibit space in Serbia - EXPO XXI International Expocenter Belgrade (www.expoxxi.co.yu) - in 74A Španskih boraca Street in Novi Beograd on September 30, 2006.

As the representatives of that building of 2,500 square meters already announced, the honor to "cut the red ribbon" was given to Serbian sports, that is, to all those people who devoted their lives and careers to the national basketball, football, archery, athletics... and had significant results and records.

The entire manifestation, which was something between exhibit of paintings, sports cups and equipment and "real time" performance, wore the title "New beginning of Serbian sport" - "For Serbia". In addition to big number of guests, there were some well-known sportsmen, such as Olivera Jeftić, Dragutin Topić, Dušan Savić, Dražen Dalipagić, Jasna Šekarić, Predrag Danilović and others.

The stage, from which the speakers spoke to the public, was decorated by big replica of Belgrade's Victor lighted by colorful spotlights and flashes of "curious" cameras from all sides. The opening moment took place in the presence of the chiefs of the City Parliament, the first man of the Republic Administration for Sport, Aleksandar Šoštar, as well as many other respectable businessmen and persons from the public life.

Newly opened EXPO XII will, according to the words of Dejan Starčević, general manager of company "EXPO XII International Expocenter Belgrade" and one of the most responsible for the fact that the capital of Serbia obtained such beautiful building, will be the center of the fair-exhibit life of Belgrade. The range of manifestations for which EXPO XII will be ideal place, Starčević explains, is very wide and, in addition to classical fairs, the most various celebrations, conferences, symposiums and other manifestations will be organized in this building.

As far as performances of the newly opened center are concerned, the two key advantages are multifunctionality and exceptional flexibility. That means that each square meter of that space can be reorganized in a way the users wish. Besides, EXPO XII has exceptional technical characteristics, starting from lighting system to very fast internet network.

The present exhibit in the new Expocenter will last prior to October 3 and all those interested in it can see it from 10 AM to 6 PM for free.
