Keeping pace with ecological trends of Europe – 3rd international ecology fair opened under cupolas of Belgrade's Fair
The International Ecology Fair - "ECOFAIR", the third in a row, was opened on October 3 under the cupolas of the Belgrade Fair.
Speaking to the present, the manager of the Administration for Environment Protection of Serbia, Miroslav Nikčević, said that the big number of participants at this-year fair confirmed one more time that the ecological conscience in the country had been aroused, as well as that the local companies were more and more interesting in operating in accordance with the principles of the sustainable development.
- So far, 300m CSD have been set aside for the construction of regional dumps in the Republic and our Administration obtained additional 20m EUR from the National Investment Plan for that purpose. Thanks to all that, we will continue to invest effort in bringing Serbia as soon as and as much as possible to the European trends in regard to the environment protection activities – Nikčević explained.
The International Ecology Fair, which gathered about 70 exhibitors, is organized at the same time as the Energy Fair. In addition to numerous exhibit manifestations, the Ecology Fair will be the place where several important conferences will be held during the next two days, as well as seminar "Cooperation in field of environment protection" and tribune "Recycling in Serbia".
