Gucci in Ruma - Leather products section to start operations
The Minister of Finance and Trade, Mladjan Dinkic, will sign tomorrow with Jean-Francois Palus, the executive manager of Kerring Group, a contract on stipulating direct investments of this company which will invest EUR 6 mil in Ruma and employ 120 staff.
Kerring group in Ruma bought a leather industry where it will rehabilitate factory for leather products manufacturing of luxurious brands. For every new comer, the Government of Serbia will provide a support of EUR 8000 through the Program of the Financial Support.
- The company which produces brands such as Gucci, Puma, Saint Laurent and other world-famous brands, as of today will operate in Serbia- Dinkic said adding that Kerring last year realized profit of EUR 10 billion.
According to his words, what Fiat was to Zastava, Kerring group is to Ruma-based leather factory because it is one of the strongest companies in footwear and leather industry.
Palus pointed out that the company picked up Ruma for investing because it has good reputation in leather industry and added that the tradition will continue in the future.
He said that the company will try to increase the factory capacity, to modernize machines and to introduce new technologies.

Kerring group is present in more than 120 countries. In 2012, they realized profit of EUR 9,7 billion and they employ 33.000 employees.
