Tender to sell Resavica in September 2013
Serbian Finance and Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic announced Monday (1 July 2013) that a public call for proposals for the privatization of the Resavica underground coal mining public company would be published September.
Dinkic told Serbian MPs that that tender would be announced by the Energy Ministry. He reminded that the privatization of Resavica was part of the government's set of measures that calls for the state to sell its stake in certain public companies or stop running them.
Dinkic noted that talks about cooperation between Jat Airways and Etihad from the UAE were going well.
- I hope we will soon be able to notify you of their outcome - said Dinkic.
The minister also announced that the pharmaceutical company Galenika would have to be consolidated urgently, adding that another must for this company whose privatization had failed was downsizing. He said that the government would not hurry the process of privatization of Dunav Osiguranje and Cacanska Banka, but he also stressed that the state would be ready to privatize them if a good strategic partner showed up.
