EUR 500 million project - We present you a final rank list of investors for construction of small hydroelectric power stations
We present you a long-awaited final rank list of investors interested in financing the construction of small hydroelectric power stations, which has been published by the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environment Protection.
On 24 June 2013 the ministry verified the final list of prospective investors for a total of 213 out of the 317 locations offered. This list specifies three investors for each location that will be successively given a chance to implement this investment. In case one of them gives up, the chance will be given to the next investor in the list.
As eKapija learned, 65 locations attracted no application, nine applications were submitted for locations that are not listed, whereas 39 original locations are removed from the list.
A trilateral Memorandum of Understanding for each location separately will be signed in the first half of July 2013 between the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, the local self-government and the prospective investor.
According to earlier estimates, a total of EUR 500 million will be invested in the construction of small hydroelectric power plants on all 317 sites.
