France's IEL to build wind farm in Basaid near Kikinda


Provincial Secretary for Energy and Mineral Resources Natasa Pavicevic Bajic has received the officials of France's IEL and talked with them about their prospective investment in Vojvodina.
IEL is primarily engaged in power generation. This company has built 10MW wind farms and several solar plants in France, and they have recently started using biomass as a fuel and building wastewater treatment plants.
One of the investments of the IEL company in Vojvodina is a wind farm in Basaid, with a capacity of 48 megawatts.
Natasa Pavicevic Bajic has introduced her guests to the plans for fuel supply projects at heating plants as well as the possibility of using biomass or some other kind of renewables at these plants.
As it was announced, experts from the Secretariat for Energy and Mineral Resources will start preparing an Action Plan for Biomass in association with the World Biomass Association on July 15.
According to the data of the Business Register Agency, IEL has two registered companies in Serbia: IEL OIE Balkan Renewable Energy and IEL OIE Exploitation SV Beograd-Stari Grad.
