Turkish billionaire eyes marina in Budva and Park Hotel in Bijela

Mubariz Mansimov, a Turkish billionaire and one of the leading shipowners in the world, that is, his company Palmali Group, is interested in renting the marina in Budva and buying Park Hotel in Bijela.

A source from the Montenegrin government has confirmed this information to the daily Vijesti after Mansimov officially submitted his request to Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic.

After touring the marina and Sveti Nikola Island, the billionaire immediately asked his associates to do the due diligence on the entire project and submit an official bid.

On his end Djukanovic asked from his office to coordinate all activities with Mansimov's associates in order to present all investment opportunities in Montenegro to the successful Turkish businessmen.

One of the issues that ought to be resolved until a new meeting between the host and the investor from Turkey, which is expected to take place in mid-July, is the way to terminate a concession agreement with Budva-based MC Marina that currently runs the marina.
