Russians eye Telekom Slovenija and Ljubljana airport
Russian companies will take part in the privatization of "at least one" of the 15 Slovenian companies that are majority owned by the state, Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec announced after a meeting with the Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov.
The sale of state-owned companies has been announced by Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratusek in a bid to attract foreign investment. Russian investors interested in the privatization program in Slovenia find Telekom Slovenija, Ljubljana airport and banks particularly interesting, SeeBiz reports.
Erjavec and Nikiforov run the Mixed Russian-Slovenian Committee for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation. The tenth session of commissaries will be held this year in Moscow.
