Only valid bid for labeling oil derivatives in Serbia submitted by SGS
The world's leading inspection, testing, verification and certification company SGS is the only bidder to have submitted a valid bid for the supply of labeling services for oil derivatives in Serbia, which should put an end to illegal fuel sales.
Petar Stanojevic, assistant to the Energy Minister, announced on August 5th, after the bid opening, that the fuel labeling process should start December 2013.
In that way, as he said, budget revenues will grow by 50 to 100 million euros per year as it is estimated that illegal fuel sales cost Serbia that much every year.
He also announced that Serbia would obtain a national laboratory in less than a year and use it to check all types of fuel in the country.
Whether SGS meets all tender requirements will be known is about 20 days.
