For a start, this economist, currently employed at the New York-based office of the consulting house McKenzie, will work on the implementation of already adopted Action plan of the Government of Serbia and as of the fall he will work on potential new measures for setting up sustainable financial system in Serbia in the upcoming period.

David Djumic, an economist and an author of the book “Economic revival of Serbia through investments from diaspora”, who claims that our people from diaspora are better solution than bringing foreigners to the Serbian administration, also supports this move.

- Almost half of our people lives abroad, somebody said “everybody who was worth, left this country.” I think this is not far from the truth especially when it comes to our “elite” – he says.

He presented to the readers of eKapija a list of “interesting names” which could revitalize Serbia.

- Also, I am sure that there are hundreds and thousands of successful our people abroad who could really make a an economic turnover. We could organize the project “100 managers from diaspora for Serbia” which would gather and pay our people at leading positions in foreign companies to manage large public and state-owned companies, with bonuses for results or a fee from future privatization

According to his suggestion, advisors of the President of the Government could be: Branko Milanovic, Nikolas Cabraja, Richard Kovacević, Dusan Duk Petrovic, Melisa Bin Luburic, Dejan Ilic, Vaso Despotovic Dragan Veljovic, Dusan Sidjanski, Milan Puskar, Boris Vukobrat, Slavko Panovic.

Bogdan Maglic, Dusan Vasiljevic, Mirko Latinovic, Mile Djekic, Vojin Oklopdzija and Laza Kekic could provide support to the Minister of Agriculture, Water Management, Forestry and Environmental Protection.

According to our collocutor’s opinion, adequate associates of the Minister of Foreign Affairs would Dusan Siđdjnski, Melisa Bin Luburic and Aleks Maceski.
