Radulovic requests replacement of public company directors
Serbian Economy Minister Sasa Radulovic has requested the replacement of most directors of public companies and republic agencies in the economy sector, Danas reports.
The daily newspaper cites its sources from the Serbian government as saying that the list of directors who Radulovic wants replaced includes the directors of the Business Register Agency and the Bankruptcy Manager Licensing Agency, Zvonko Obradovic and Sinisa Kukic, respectively, mainly because they were appointed at the proposal of the United Regions of Serbia.
According to Danas' sources, these directors will respond to Radulovic's request by demanding his replacement. If this fails to give result, they plan to publicly disclose some "awkward details" from his career as a bankruptcy manager, considering that he has been running 14 bankruptcy proceedings to date.
Radulovic previously stated that he would advocate the closing of the Development Fund of Serbia because it did not contribute to the functioning of the economy. He also announced the professionalization of public companies.
Serbian Progressive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia have announced the second phase of the reconstruction of authorities, which will include the analysis of performance of public company directors, local officials, state secretaries and assistant ministers.
