Tender for desulfurization plant in TENT in November
An Invitation to Tender for the construction of a desulfurization plant within "Nikola Tesla A" Steam Power Plant (TENT) will be announced around November 15th, TENT System Improvement Director Miroslav Tomasevic told Tanjug news agency.
Construction of the first flue-gas desulfurization system in Serbia is expected to commence in August or September 2014, Tomasevic announced.
This project is financed with the proceeds of a Japanese loan of EUR 245 million.
Works will be carried out in phases, and the plan is to complete the desulfurization system in units 3 and 4 of the thermal power station A in Obrenovac by 2017 and in units 5 and 6 by 2018.
- Tender documentation is almost completed. ITT will be announced in November, after all the necessary procedures are finished and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) gives its approval, and bids will be accepted for 90 days - Tomasevic specified.
Considering that this is a big project, we expect the procedure to be postponed for maximum 30 days, after which an agreement will be signed, and the work on the new plant will commence next year, Tomasevic added.
