"Where are the Stock Markets Heading?" – the Fifth international conference of the Belgrade Stock Exchange commenced
Integration, cooperation, challenges! The sense of the Fifth International Conference of the Belgrade Stock Exchange could be put in exactly these three words. The conference under the symbolic name "Where are the Stock Markets Heading?" commenced today (November 14, 2006) in Belgrade-based hotel "Intercontinental".
Speaking to the present, in her welcoming speech, general manager of the Stock Exchange, Gordana Dostanić, pointed out that the aforementioned conference would try to encompass many relevant issues and subjects through several panels and round tables, as well as to find appropriate answer to most of them.

- This-year conference of the Belgrade Stock Exchange will gather about 500 participants who come from the renowned broker companies, regional and world stock exchanges, as well as other financial institutions – Dostanić explained.
- This will be a great opportunity for all participants to hear and learn something new, as well as to establish important contacts. Also, within next two days, we will all get the opportunity to foresee the future of the stock market operations, both in the developing countries and in the developed countries and to notice the trends that are of current interest on the big world stock markets – said the manager of the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

Judging by the list of experts who will speak to the participants of the international conference "Where are the Stock Markets Heading?" today and tomorrow (general manager of Financial Institution Group Societe Generale, Cristian Casenille, the President of the Athens Stock Exchange, Spiros Kapralos, general manager of Bulgarian Stock Exchange, Bistra Ilkova, general manager of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Stere Farmache, and others), the aforementioned meeting really deserves the epithet of the central financial manifestation in the Balkans and broader.

Total of four panel discussions have been prepared and their issues are operations on the big world stock markets, situation in Southeast Europe, the role and the policy of the investment funds and protection of investors. The Conference "menu" will include the themes dedicated to the consolidation of the global market, as well as to survey of everything that happened on and in the relation to the Belgrade Stock Exchange during the last five years.
