'Siemens' gets involved in construction of Corridor 10 - Contract worth 11,8 million EUR signed

'Railways of Serbia' and 'Siemens' company have signed today a contract worth 11,85 million EUR for purchase of equipment and conduction of works on reconstruction and modernization of electrical-technical plant on Corridor 10 from Gilje to Paracin, with the starting date already in October.
The contract was signed in Belgrade by the CEO of Railways of Serbia, Dragoljub Simonovic and Director of 'Siemens' in Serbia, Tihomir Rajlic. The project is financed from the funds of European Investment Bank loan.
- 'Siemens' as a world giant in this area will pass its knowledge, experience and technology to this significant project for Serbia. What I can say with certainty is that we will fulfill our part of the deal defined by the Contract in determined deadline, said Director of 'Siemens'.
Simonovic said that 'Railways of Serbia' was going to continue realization of projects for better and modern rails in Serbia, and above all on the rout of Corridor 10.
He announced that by the end of the month they were also going to sign a contract with 'Huawei' company for telecommunication services, and afterwords, according to his words, they would be signing new annexes of the contract for realization of the Russian loan for construction of 6 sections on Corridor 10.
'Siemens' has a deadline for finalization of reconstruction and modernization of the contact network and power plant, telecommunication and signalizing-security plants in 370 days, while the deadline for finalization of works on completion of the new electronic equipment for Cuprija station is 730 days.
The rail Gilje-Cuprija-Paracin is part of Belgrade-Nis rail and is 10,5 km long.
