Factory for producing aircraft parts to be built in Zemun
Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said yesterday in Abu Dhabi that he expected negotiations with the Mubadala company on the construction of a factory for producing aircraft parts in Serbia to be completed within the next four weeks.
- It is a factory for producing components for Boeing and Airbus aicraft that should employ about 600 people. I believe we have found a suitable place in Zemun as they would like the factory to be built near an airport - said Vucic.
We should also expect a EUR 100 million investment from Abu Dhabi in Serbia's agriculture in the nearest future. Al Dahra plans to spend a third of the USD 400 million investment in our country's agriculture on the acquisition of eight agricultural companies. The rest will be invested in the equipping of their land with irrigation systems, plus 24,000 hectares.
That money will be used to finance the construction of minimum five animal feed plants. Al Dahra should take over the 7. juli farm in Surcin that belongs to PKB as well as farms Agrobacka, Dragan Markovic from Obrenovac, Bratstvo-jedinstvo from Neuzin, Jadran, Mladi borac from Sonta, Omoljica and Vojvodina from Starcevo.
Al Dahra is also interested in producing semiconductors, that is, computer chips.
