For the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, the largest project in Uzice in the last few years, this city has obtained EUR 15 million from the Serbian government.

It will be the only treatment plant of the kind in western Serbia to operate in line with demanding international standards, Uzice Mayor Sasa Milosevic explained to Danas.

- Uzice will get EUR 15 million. The Serbian government will repay 95 percent and Uzice 5 percent of that loan - the mayor of Uzice told Danas.

When asked when the construction of that plant would start, he said that the plan was to invite bids for the supply of technology for the future plant six months after all the procedures were finished, adding that the construction would take three years.
