Slovakian businessmen visit Nis - Possible cooperation in health tourism, machining industry and renewables
A delegation of Slovakian businessmen led by Jan Stark, commercial attache at the Embassy of Slovakia to Serbia, yesterday visited Nis and the Regional Chamber of Commerce (RCC).
Representatives of the City of Nis and the Nis RCC pointed out that there were many fields in which companies from that part of the country and Slovakia can work together, primarily in the field of renewables, health tourism, machining industry, and the paint and lacquer industry.
Nis Deputy Mayor Ljubivoje Slavkovic stressed that Nis was particularly interested in activating the Lozni Kalem site at the entrance to Niska Banja spa resort.
Slavkovic told Slovakian businessmen that they could immediately start building an aqua park and a sports and recreational complex on the Lozni Kalem site as the location was fully equipped with municipal infrastructure and was covered by the Master Plan.
Dr. Miroslav Kralik, president of the Serbian-Slovakian Chamber of Commerce, said that political relations between Serbia and Slovakia were much more intensive than economic ones. Kralik noted that he was convinced that insufficiently developed economic relations were a result of the fact that the two sides did not know each other good enough.
He added that businessmen cannot make acquaintance with each other over the Internet, explaining that their personal meetings and frequent visits of delegations were necessary.
