Air Serbia buys 10 new aircraft for USD 1 billion

Air Serbia, Serbia's flag carrier, announced in a release on Tuesday that it had been confirmed that ten new Airbus aircraft of new generation would be added to its fleet. According to the release, this purchase is valued at USD 1 billion.
This deal, whose details were disclosed at Dubai Air Show, is part of an arrangement through which Air Serbia's strategic partner Etihad Airways strives to satisfy our flag carrier's need for a fleet of 117 Airbus aircraft.
A320neo aircraft will replace eight A319's and two A320's that are currently leased, and the aim is to gradually replace the old fleet of ten Boeing B 737-300 aircraft.
New A320neo airplanes are expected to be delivered in the period between 2018 and 2020.
