Atrium Consulting Director Martin Elezovic first certified BREEAM assessor in Serbia

Martin Elezovic, Director of Atrium Consulting, is the first certified assessor for green building according to the English BREEAM standard in Serbia.

The BREEAM standard is the oldest, and the world's leading method for assessment of sustainable building. It was established in 1990 and since then 250,000 buildings around the world have been certified, with over 1,000,000 are undergoing certification.

Formal certification comes from the BRE Global headquarters (BRE - Building Research Establishment), an independent organization that established BREEAM standards and is developing them further. Their main function is to examine and guarantee sustainability and safety of design, construction, goods and services in the construction process.

- Green building is a growing industry in the world and in Serbia. We are the first credited consultants for assessment and certification of BREEAM standards in project design and construction of new buildings in Serbia, and authorized consultants for the LEED standard in construction. We plan to become certified soon for the German DGNB standard, which will complete the portfolio of our services for assessment, consultancy, monitoring and certification of green building projects. All this makes us the leader in this field - said Martin Elezovic, Director of Atrium.
