January 1 to see Serbian Chamber of Commerce closing offices in Zagreb and Podgorica
As of New Year, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) will close its offices in Zagreb and Podgorica, Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mihailo Vesovic said on Thursday (November 28, 2013).
- Our objective is to save as much as we can and to keep the offices at key markets where we must have our presentation: I am referring to Moscow, Brussels, Milano, Frankfurt, Vienna and Paris – Vesovic explained.
According to him, it is necessary to have more rational treatment when it comes to economy presentation abroad.
- The reason for closing is the nearness of the markets because more intensive regional cooperation is expected at other levels. There is no language or business barrier in a sence that it is necessary to have somebody constantly on field – Vesovic said.
He added that the overall economic diplomacy concept and the offices the Serbian Chamber of Commerce has worldwide is currently undergoing reform process and it depends on how the relation between the state, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Trade will be defined in the upcoming period.
Vesovic summed up that the Serbian Chamber of Commerce now has eight offices. There will be six of them as of New Year and the objective is that in the upcoming period those six are structurally and people – like strengthened and that their activity is brought up to higher level.
