Two Chinese, one Czech and one Slovakian companies have submitted the best bids for the construction of the second power generation unit in Pljevlja, the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) announced in a release yesterday.

Of the nine bids submitted, those from Chinese companies Powerchina Hubei Electric Survey and China Mashinery Engineering Corporation, Skoda Praha from Czech Republic and Istroenergo Group from Slovakia were declared the best by the EPCG Working Group.

By the end of January 2014, all bids will be thoroughly reviewed and each of these four projects will be subjected to an economic justification check.

As it was announced before, the second power generation unit within Pljevlja Thermal Power Station should have a capacity of between 220 and 300 megawatts.
