Chinese to drill tunnels through Fruska Gora? - Tender for Novi Sad-Ruma highway in January 2014

For one of the capital investments - the Novi Sad-Ruma highway with a tunnel through Fruska Gora that should be built by the end of 2017, an invitation to tender for the supply of project documentation will be announced as early as next month.

On that occasion, Minister of Regional Development Igor Mirovic and Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic should sign an agreement early next week and select the designing office afterwards. This selection process should be finished by the end of 2014, whereas construction works that will take 30 months to complete should commence next year.

- Preparation of the project documentation will be financed by republic and provincial governments with RSD 200 million each - Branislav Bugarski, the provincial secretary for interregional cooperation and local self-government, confirmed to the daily Novosti on Wednesday.
