AirlineRatings.com, a website dedicated to international air transport, has published a list of top 10 airlines in 2013 in terms of safety.

Based on an analysis of 448 carriers, the list compiled by AirlineRatings.com is topped by the Australian airline Kvantas that is followed by Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Kathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad, Eva Air, Royal Jordanian, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.

A total of 137 companies got the highest mark - seven stars, while nearly 50 carriers got only 3 stars or less.
