Tenders invited for railway station in Prokop - Funds provided from Kuwaiti loan
Serbian railway company Zeleznice Srbije (Serbian Railways) today announced a public call for tenders for the continuation of the construction of the new railway station Beograd Centar in Prokop, which will be financed with the proceeds of a Kuwaiti loan of about EUR 26 million.
- The tender will be open until February 24th. Works are to be completed in maximum 420 days, and the main criterion for the evaluation of bids will be the price - said Dragoljub Simonovic, the CEO of Serbian Railways.
It is a public call for tenders for the first phase of traffic capacity reconstruction in the railway station Beograd Centar, Serbian Railways said in a release.
- In this way, Serbian Railways intensify its activities towards the completion of the Belgrade railway hub and creates the setting for successful implementation of the Belgrade on Water project that is extremely important for the whole of Serbia, while local construction companies get a chance to win a contract and thus confirm their quality and capacity - Simonovic stressed.
As Simonovic stated, funds for this project are provided from a EUR 26 million loan extended by the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development.
